IT News Africa has recently compiled a list of 10 hot startups to monitor more closely. Tech companies from countries as different as Rwanda, Kenya, East Africa, Morocco and Ghana are making the list.
Our world’s connected global infrastructure makes it evident that the world is becoming flatter, even though it is far from flat.Seemingly these start-ups could as well have been founded in any European country. Also, these start-ups cater to the needs of their own nation and/or their own continent, which in turn illuminates the fact that traditionally lagging regions are achieving higher purchasing power and connectivity.
It is most likely that the scalable opportunities and entrepreneurial excitement of the continent will fuel the African economies in unprecedented non-exploitive ways in the future, far from the dependency and deterioration of natural resources that have been ongoing the last centuries.
